Hello my friend,

in today’s article I want to tell you how I got rid of my problems with itchy scalp. Mainly three products and a tip helped me a lot:

Terra Naturi – Glanzshampoo

(1,95€ / 200ml)

I got one of these gloss-shampoo’s a while ago as press samples and bought them about four times now! I am not sure what makes my scalp like it, I think it has just the right amount of surfactants to clean it properly but to keep it hydrated as well. I tried so many shampoos and this one is the only that works over a longer period of time, maybe because it doesn’t contain much alcohol but seasalt.

Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Coco-Sulfate, Lauryl Glucoside, Glycerin, Betaine, Maris Sal, Citrus of grandis fruit extract *., Hibiscus Sabdariffa flower extract *., Actinidia Chinensis Fruit Extract*, Pyrus Malus fruit extract *., Hippophae Rhamnoides fruit extract *., Vaccinium macrocarpon fruit extract *., Sodium PCA, Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Disodium Cocoyl Glutamate, Hydrolyzed Corn Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Sodium phytate, Alcohol*, Perfume **, Limonene **, Linalool **, *organic, **from essential oils

Myrto naturalcosmetics – Bio Kopfhautkur T

(16,50€ / 100ml) *

Before taking a shower I use one or two pipettes of this scalp treatment and massage it into my scalp to prevent it from drying out while getting washed.

Ingredients: Aloe barbadensis leaf juice *. (Aqua & Aloe barbadensis leaf juice powder *.), Aqua, Betaine, Simmondsia chinensis seed oil *., Butyrospermum Parkii butter *., Glycerin, Cannabis sativa seed oil *., Beta-Glucan, Pectin, Glyceryl Caprylate, Arctium lappa root extract *., Lecithin, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Levulinate/Anisate, Lactic Acid, Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract *., Schizandra Sphenanthera fruit extract *. ; ** organic

alverde Trockenshampoo

(2,45€ / 25g)

This dry shampoo by alverde or my diy dry shampoo doesn’t stop the itchiness but extends the time between two times shampooing and less washing means less dried out scalp!

Ingredients: Talc, Silica, Lauroyl Lysine, Loess, Zinc oxide, Melissa officinalis flower/leaf/stem extract *., Urtica dioica leaf extract *., Aqua, Lithothamnium Calcareum powder, Alcohol*, Perfume **, Limonene **, Citral **, Linalool **, Geraniol **, * ingredients from certified organic agriculture, ** from natural essential oils

In the end I want to tell you a tiny tip that helps me a lot: Wash your hair with lukewarm or cold water! It is hard for me because I freeze very fast but it is definitely worth a try! Also plant hair color makes my scalp feel awesome for about one or two weeks. If you want to try this but like your current hair color, try colorless hair color! :)

Do you also have problems with your scalp now and then?

How often do you wash your hair?

What is your favourite natural shampoo? :)

Lots of love,

  • I had once a while violent head itching and hair loss. For me, that was but hormonal. What has really helped, was the hair lotion by Weleda!
    Liebe Grüße!

  • Nice tips, Thank you! If my scalp itches times, what it rarely does, then the brush helps me best and fastest (or rather massaging) with a brush with wooden pins. Have ever tried that?

  • The KH brush tip I am =) Otherwise, I'm putting on extremely mild shampoos without alcohol or harsh surfactants, example. Deep steep. Hair waters and similar I would also fit, because alcohol-based hair tonic has only exacerbated the State with me.
    LG Jodiie

    • Oh, I still don't know deep steep, must I see me urgently! :) And, I was thinking also that, I already frequently faced some hair waters and not bought because of the contained alcohol but it, because my skin is generally not so like that :). Liebe Grüße!

  • Love Julia,
I fight now and again with itchy scalp and can deal with the shampoos from Urtekram damn good. Recently I have published also a post on my blog.
Do you know the shampoos? Come with me (also) very mild surfactants therefore.

Also, I find the use of lava Earth every now and again rather good, to create a balance. Theresa had this time published a detailed post by make-up conversion project.

Otherwise, I cannot of course sign the tip with not too hot wash & dry. Prefer something slow :)

    Greenest greetings

    • Dear Miss periwinkle,

Thanks for the tip, by Urtekram I've actually never tried a product, walked past but already several times in the healthfood store it. I have to admit, I'm there just only mediocre experiment, because I'm so well with the Terra Naturi Yes there but some of them swarm, should I try the perhaps. :)
I've never tried lava Earth, but clay, I edit the same time, because it has helped me very, only it pulls my herbal hair color properly. :)

      Lots of love,
      Julia :)

  • I'm currently still relatively problem-free hair, they are still quite short so I can see that probably not so objectively. At the time, I use the Logona shampoo for fine hair with beer and before I had the Lavera Apple shampoo. I love both. But this oil here sounds quite interesting for my husband, has to fight more often with scales – I must convince him something from NK shampoo. ;-) Let's see how it works.

    Many dear greetings, Christine

    • Dear Christine, If your husband has no dry scalp, is also a scalp cure F for oily hair, well that is designed to help shed in combination with greasy hair. :) Conventional anti-dandruff shampoos often have the disadvantage of, they contain strong surfactants, while until the next hair wash the scales that reduce, for it but not the real problem fighting but on the contrary, as soon as it's “settles” It has mostly again strong dandruff. I know several acquaintances, that have gone mild natural cosmetic shampoos and suddenly even no scales had more, because the scalp has come back into balance. Of course, this is no guarantee of success, but as I said, It just might work :).
      Lots of love!

      • Hi Julia and Christine,
I had also for many years to fight dandruff and itchy scalp. Much I have tried and also noted, that the whole anti-dandruff shampoos rather worsen the problem. I've also tried Birch hair tonic and it brought also nothing. I've been using now mild shampoos, easy to care for my scalp and maintain, have to say but, that alone the even is not 100% successful, If there is also an improvement. I've had the best experiences so far with simple hair water, is to buy it at the drugstore. The only negative side effect: It smells quite penetrating and likely is a product for men, Since it is often brought relating to hair loss (no, I use no Alpecin :). If I it regularly 3-4 Days successively apply, disappeared completely anyway, dandruff and itchiness.
        Liebe Grüße!

  • I'll also try out next time the myrto scalp treatment, Thanks for the tip! I have actually always in winter to fight with itchy and sometimes flaky scalp, Thanks to dry air. The neem helps me by Dr Hauschka hair water very!
    Many greetings

    • Willingly! :) And, in the winter it is always much worse with me, Another reason, which is why I think, It is located on dry skin! :) I never bought the neem hair Tonikum, because it contains so much alcohol and clear my skin usually not too good with the ingredient, can't you take alcohol (also in face creams) generally well? :)
      Liebe Grüße!

  • Dear Julia,
These are really great tips! Thank you!
So I had the same problem, was to the dermatologist and the recommended me a mild shampoo from La Roche-Posay (It was so clear). The ingredients and effectiveness read me but time and what “comparable” sought in the NK, I have found shower / shampoo by CMD with dead sea salt. It is highly recommended. I use it now in the Exchange with the Rhassoul Urtekram shampoo, This helps by the way also tip, however! Tried even lava Earth, She helped, However, it was too cumbersome and I discovered the Rhassoul shampoo.
What I can add a tip, is, You should distribute the conditioner from the hair ends up, so as little as possible to the Yourvscalp ran. It has also helped me :)

So enough written :D LG Jessica

    • Dear Jessica,
Thank you for your detailed comment :) Sea salt is a small miracle weapon against many skin problems I sometimes have the feeling :). It was formerly often so, Rashes disappeared after once bathing in the sea in the holiday :). That's a great tip with the flushing, I also always do this, simply because otherwise the hair looks stringy too fast :).
      Liebe Grüße!

  • I've can try what ever by Terra Naturi. When I was still a Müller in the vicinity, I didn't get a chance somehow… and now I would like to, but live much too far from the next Miller away… My Kopfhat is also sometimes bitchy… I really think the super shampoo, with which it is always quiet, still have I not found. Is also on my Eczema, She is also always in bursts. Usually don't feel good then even the scalp…

However, it helps lubricate me very well. In particular with hair oil by Khadi.

    • Oh I'm sorry, I've become such a small Terra Naturi fan! :) Now you can also online quite much natural cosmetics (also the Terra Naturi products) order at Müller, but since shipping costs happen unfortunately again. I believe so too, It's hard to find the perfect shampoo! Ojeh, Atopic dermatitis is of course even more difficult the thing. Did get them mainly on the head or the whole body problems? Thanks for the tip with the khadi hair oil! :) Liebe Grüße!

  • I must definitely try the organic skin Spa. Currently my shed come back through the cold and the many heating air again and it itches very. My shampoo is not enough currently probably, so thanks for the tip. I'll be in touch, If it helped! :)
